Book Your PRIME TIME Guided Fall Salmon Fishing Trips!

It is that time of year again to call Pacific Angler and book your PRIME TIME dates for doing any our customized trips fishing for salmon in our local river systems.

The Squamish River is a magical river flanked by snow capped mountains and glistening glaciers with mountain goats gazing down from the cliffs above.  As it drains the Squamish and Elaho Valley it forms numerous runs and pools that are ideally suited to fly fishing for coho and chum.

Our raft’s are specifically designed for guiding our coastal streams and will transport you safely down the river while you stay dry and warm, enjoying the amazing scenery.

Harrison River is a large river system in the Fraser Valley that feeds into the Fraser River.  This river is home to good runs of coho, chinook, pink and chum salmon.  Using a jet boat navigate the Harrison or doing a walk’n wade trip, Andre will take you to all his secret spots and other well known spots giving you the opportunity to target coho on the fly. Scenery while fishing on the Harrison River is 2nd to none and viewing of 100’s of bald eagles that gather here to feed on the spawning salmon is a world wide tourist attraction.

Birkenhead River is located north of Whistler and is an amazing fall fishery.  Your guide, Ryan O’Connor will take you on a walk’n wade trip featuring the successful egg fishing techniques targeting rainbow’s and bull trout that are feeding in behind the spawning salmon.

This river is a gorgeous walk’n wade opportunity where stalking trout, perfecting an effective egg fishery while taking in the best that BC has to offer in fishing a smaller river system.

Walk’n Wade Guided Day Trips (All rivers available for walk’n wade trips)

The fall salmon runs have arrived and the Pacific Angler guides have been loving it. If you are new to fishing or an avid angler, then now is the time to get out on the water with an expert.

Pacific Angler, being centrally located between the Fraser Valley and Sea-to-Sky-Corridor, has the ability to pick the most productive fishery for your day on the water. It’s this flexibility that allows our guides the ability to give you the best experience possible. So whether you are looking to catch fall salmon with spinners, floats or on the fly we can get your rod bent!

This is an excellent trip if you are visiting Vancouver and want to experience west coast fishing or if you are a local fishermen looking to get some help from an expert.

Harrison River Jet Boat Trip for Coho on the Fly w/ Andre Stepanian

This fall Pacific Angler is presenting guided trips on the Harrison River targeting coho on the fly. The Harrison River is a world class salmon fishery with good returns of coho, chum and chinook salmon as well as searun cutthroat trout.

In the fall Pacific Angler targets bright chrome coho salmon that migrate to the Harrison River from mid October to the end of November. Prime-time dates are from the right now to the last week of November. You can expect good to great fishing in this time period, with double digit days not being out of the ordinary.

Fly fishing with an integrated sink tip line and small flies is proven to be the most productive method for this fishery. Through years of experience Pacific Angler freshwater guide, Andre Stepanian, has developed specific methods and flies for this fishery.

He is a master of this fishery and truly passionate about getting his guests into the most chrome coho salmon possible. You are guaranteed to have a great opportunity of catching coho on the fly with Andre as well as gaining his valuable knowledge through 1000s of hours on the water.

Andre will be guiding you to his secret coho holes with a fully loaded 18 foot jet boat that has a full cover for those damp and windy days that can occur on the Harrison River.

This full day jet boat package includes:

  • Vancouver pick up and drop off
  • A full day (approx. 8 hours) of guided fishing by jet boat
  • Instruction on single hand casting
  • Instruction on techniques for coho on the fly
  • Any fishing gear that is needed including waders, boots, rods/reels, etc.

Cost: $750.00 CAD for 1 angler, $850.00 CAD for 2 anglers & $1,000.00 CAD for 3 anglers.

Upper & Lower Squamish Fall Salmon Raft Trips

With our raft, we will focus on different parts of the river depending on where the largest concentrations of fish are and the time of year.  In low water conditions we focus on the Lower Squamish.  As the season progresses or after high water events, we concentrate on the Upper Squamish.  This allows us to maximize our client’s opportunities at hooking chrome coho and chum.

Our guides raft’s are specifically designed for guiding our coastal streams and will transport you safely down the river while you stay dry and warm, enjoying the amazing scenery.  After a full day of fishing we take the raft out at a predetermined point and you remain fishing while your guide retrieves the truck, returning shortly to pick you up.  There is no down time for the angler so you can soak up as much of the Squamish Valley as possible.

This full day package includes:

  • A full day (approx. 8 hours) of guided fishing on the Squamish by raft
  • Instruction on single hand casting and Spey casting
  • Instruction on techniques for fall salmon with gear or on the fly
  • Any fishing gear that is needed including waders, boots, rods/reels, etc.

Cost:  $600.00 CAD for 1 to 2 anglers & $750.00 CAD for 3 anglers
