Here comes the Sun! If you are debating a day out fishing in the next couple days GO! Vancouver is going to have great weather for the weekend and the thermometer may go over 30 degrees in the interior!! This is great news. Last week had a real mixed bag of weather and with it the fishing was all over the map. The interior lakes were tough last weekend with shifting weather patterns and fluctuating temperatures. Max headed up and got hammered by the weather Saturday and Sunday but in the end managed to move around, adapt and find some nice fish. We heard of a number of similar reports but early in the week things picked back up. Andre has an awesome report on…

Pacific Angler Friday Fishing Report: May 13, 2016

Outlook Well it’s another beautiful day in the neighborhood and we are going to see a great weather both in Vancouver and up in lake country. The temperatures are going to be in the mid 20s here and pushing 20 in Merritt so it should be a great weekend to get out and enjoy the sun! On the saltwater scene things were slower than normal but that is probably due to weather and wind we saw last weekend. We are going to see some wind in the forecast this weekend but we expect it to be manageable. Jason is down in Cuba this week fishing (yes we are jealous) so unfortunately we do not have his expertise weighing in on what is going on. Don’t…

If you are looking to do some freshwater fishing in the lower mainland, our local lakes are a great option especially for introductory anglers. Chinook fishing is heating up! This time…
