OUTLOOK We’re heading into a heat wave this weekend! If you’re looking to get out on the water and cool off Whistler Lakes have been fishing well and are a great option close to home. If you can’t get out on the water this weekend be sure to spend some time getting your gear ready for the Chilliwack and the Skagit, both of which open July 1st. We are looking forward to chinook salmon fishing in the Chilliwack River and our resident trout enthusiasts have their gear packed to get to the Skagit River next week. OUTLOOK June is flying by and we are looking forward to a great summer of different fishing opportunities. The winds have calmed down and the saltwater salmon fishing has picked up again over at Thrasher. We’ll be doing a little scouting locally as the fishing will soon be much closer to home. OUTLOOK It was a hot, dry and windy one this past week! Lake fishing in the interior has slowed down over the last week due to the high temperatures. It’s supposed to cool off so we’re looking forward to some improved lake fishing this coming week. On the saltwater we’re hoping the wind will die down as we head into the weekend and make things just a little more fishable! Beach fishing is almost on the horizon as well. OUTLOOK Well we’ve closed the driest May on record and are hoping for a little more rain in June! The Capilano River has remained very low with the lack of rain, making fishing difficult. If you’re heading out of town for the weekend Interior or Cariboo Region lakes should be a good bet for fishing. That said its looking to be warm in the Interior to that may slow down the fishing there.  We’ve been fishing the Pitt River getting ready for our upcoming guided jet boat trips and its looking like it will be a nice season up there. OUTLOOK With just a few days left on the driest May on record since 1937 we’re looking forward to June and some of our summer time fisheries! With the warm dry river the Capilano River has been off to a slow start to the season. With little on the horizon for river fishing we have been up scouting the Pitt River via jet boat this week and its looking like it will shape up to be a great season. OUTLOOK Well we’re off to a sunny start for May! As of today the Chilliwack River is now fly only.   Your steelhead season is not coming to an end though, read on below for a full explanation of what this means and how to approach the river.   In Squamish we’re watching the water levels and the weather closely to see if we can squeeze in a few more days on the water before the freshet fully kicks in.
