Join Pacific Angler on a Trip to Cayo Romano, Cuba in May!
Pacific Angler is heading to Cuba for our 5th annual Cayo Romano adventure and you are invited! This trip sold out in a flash but we had a last minute cancellation and we have availability!
THE FISHING IN CAYO ROMANO
Simply put the fishing is spectacular. The fishing is what Florida used to be 30 years ago. For the avid warm water angler or complete novice Cayo Romano will be a trip you will not forget.
THE LOCATION
Located on the north shore of the eastern province of Camaguey, the Cayo Romano/Cruz fishery is an enormous system of flats, lagoons and pristine estuaries. Commercial fishing within the designated Sport Fishing Only area is strictly forbidden and rigorously enforced. The fishing area is virtually untouched and represents one of the cleanest and most biologically diverse ecosystems we’ve ever fished. The Bonefish are very big and many consider this location one of the best big permit destination in the world. It is also a very good spot to pursue the elusive grand slam, Catching a Bonefish, a Permit and a tarpon in one day. It is considered one of the hardest challenges in fly fishing but Cayo Romano is know as one of the best destinations to make it happen!
