School is in and so are the local Chinook! As is typical around this time of year, summer comes to a close and people clean up their boats, come back from vacation, get back into the daily grind at work while WE KEEP ON FISHING!
Sept 6th Charter: Nothing like kissing your first salmon!
Sept/Oct consistently produces some of the best fishing locally here in Vancouver. The late run of Chinook and coho are now in off of W. Van. This fishery generally peaks around OCT 1st! BOOK PRIME TIME NOW!!
6hr charters are the most popular charter at this time of year.

The ideal tide to fish in the fall is the flood (incoming tide), then as this tide peaks it creates what we call the “slack flood” which is when the tide is neither flooding or ebbing. You can view here, the September Tidal Chart to see when the flood/ebb tides are.

Sept 9th HAUL!
The fishing has been good for charters locally off of W. Vancouver or down to the Sandheads, off the S. Arm of the Fraser river where millions of pinks are making their way up the Fraser along with the larger ivory Chinook, coho and chum.
