Pacific Angler has got some great courses to start 2012.  One of our two most popular course of the year are Steelhead Float Fishing and Fly Fishing Egg Patterns

A new course Pacific Angler is doing is the Warm Water Boot Camp.  Casting expert Matt Sharp will be leading this new and exciting course.  The goal of the course is to prepare you for an upcoming warm water trip.  The focus will be on casting, stripping, fishing setup and putting you in real life situations.

Also, remember if you would like to do a private group course please do not hesitate to give us a call at 604-872-2204.  Our courses are a great way to spend a birthday, business outing, or just to have a good time with friends or family.

FLY FISHING EGG PATTERNS

Join Pacific Angler and learn the secrets to one of the most productive presentations in the BC fly fishermen’s arsenal, egg patterns.  This deadly method can be used for different species of trout, char, and salmon.  Let us teach you the techniques, key concepts, strategies, and gear that will give you a well-rounded foundation during the theory portion of the class.  Then you will put those skills into practice during a fully guided day on the water.

Cost: $225.00 (before taxes)

STEELHEAD FLOAT FISHING

In this 2 part course you will learn advanced float fishing techniques used to catch steelhead in all water types and conditions. This course includes a 3hr evening seminar and a fully guided day on the river putting your new steelhead knowledge into practice.

Cost: $225.00 (before taxes)

INTRODUCTION TO FLY FISHING

Learning how to cast will put you in a good position to truly enjoy the sport.

This course is designed to give the new fly fisher the basic knowledge, casting skills and fly fishing strategies to effectively fish our local waters. This course is comprised of two sessions: a 3hr evening seminar and a 3hr casting session.

Cost: $100.00 (before taxes)

WARM WATER BOOT CAMP

If you are planning a trip down south this winter to fish for warm water species then let Pacific Angler give you the edge.  The focus of the course will be casting, stripping, fly selection, and putting you in realistic fishing situations to make sure you make the best out of your vacation. This is a full day course, which involves theory and dry land training.

TYING A CLASSIC SALMON FLY – SOLD OUT

This 3 night course is designed for those that are interested in learning the art of classic fly tying.  The course will cover many aspects of classic tying such as marrying feathers, mounting whole feathers, working with the gut eye and so forth.  The course is suitable for advanced fly tiers with lots of patience.

Cost: $120.00 (before taxes) includes majority of specialized materials

INTRODUCTION TO FLY TYING – SOLD OUT

This course is for the beginner fly tier or for those who have never tried fly tying.  We will show you the fundamental skills needed to tie the successful flies used here in BC for trout, salmon, and steelhead. This course consists of 3 sessions of 3 hours each spread over one month.  Vises are supplied, materials are not supplied, and students will receive 10% off on material purchases.

Cost: $60.00 (before taxes)
