What’s New Wednesday: Winter Steelhead and Mad River

The winter steelhead season is approaching quickly this year.  Only a few weeks away and Pacific Angler is busy stocking our shelves with new, as well as the old faithful lures and baits.

We are adding a new line of rubber worms and rubber eggs to the store.  Mad River Manufacturing is the company and they have a huge selection of baits to choose from.  Mad River is a company out of California, and have made a name for themselves in the Pacific Northwest.  I was turned onto these baits last steelhead season after testing these worms and eggs with a lot of success.  I had to bring them into the store!

New Pacific Angler product tested in the field last winter.

The worms are durable and supple with lots of movement and vibrant colours.  These worms come in 2 sizes, four and six inch versions.

The eggs are bright, soft and literally glow in the water.  The eggs come in a small and large size.

Beautiful single eggs. “Yeah, these will get’em”, DR

All the baits come with an impregnated shrimp scent, which adds another edge to your presentation compared to the rest.  Look for these in the gear section within the shop or ask one of the Pacific Angler staff to help you out.  Tell them Dimitri sent you their way!

I’ll see you on our local winter steelhead rivers soon,

Dimitri
