Now in its annual global run, IF4 showcases powerful storytelling from filmmakers around the world, celebrating fly fishing not just as a sport, but as a lens into culture, conservation, adventure, and human connection. Each year's program features a diverse mix of short films ranging from remote international expeditions to intimate, character-driven stories closer to home.

This year's Vancouver screening will include work from an array of filmmakers, highlighting the creative community that continues to shape the Pacific Northwest's outdoor storytelling. The Vancouver stop will include "In Pursuit" a film by local filmmakers Eben Norman and Lucas Parry that focuses on the deeper motivations behind chasing fish - particularly steelhead - rather than simply celebrating success on the water. Also featured is "Let's Make a Fishing Movie" directed by Oregon-based filmmaker RA Beattie of Off the Grid Studios, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the realities of filmmaking through the lens of a high-pressure shoot with chef and cultural figure David Chang.

The evening promises a dynamic mix of humuor, heart, and cinematic craftsmanship, all presented on the big screen at one of Vancouver's most iconic venues.

About the Steelhead Society of British Columbia
Formed in 1970 by a group of dedicated Steelhead anglers concerned about the state of wild steelhead stocks and the wild rivers of British Columbia, the Steelhead Society is a charitable non-profit river conservation organization. The Society has evolved to advocate for the health of all wild salmonids and wild rivers in British Columbia.

Considered to be “one of the most important conservation organizations in North America”, the Steelhead Society primarily consists of members from across North America, but has members from around the world. Our members’ support, as well as private donations and monies raised through fundraising campaigns, funds advocacy actions and awareness in the public spectrum, and acts to encourage positive change in government and private enterprise.
