GARMIN 2025 Winter Promotion

Give a Garmin at great prices from Nov 14, 2025 to Dec 31, 2025!
There are some great savings on Garmin while quantities last. Here are some of our favourites and check them all out online or in person at the shop!
The STRIKER Plus 4 is one of our top selling units. It’s compact, priced right, has great CHIRP sonar capabilities, and is very popular for lake anglers looking to get into a sonar to see depth and fish without breaking the bank.
The ECHOMAP UHD2 series is perfect for smaller ocean boats and an excellent choice for lake fishing. Available in 5 inch, 7 inch, and 9 inch screens with the GT20, GT54, or GT56 transducer depending on the model. The 5 or 7 inch is a very popular choice for lake anglers that are fly fishing for trout or trolling for kokanee and come with charts. The 7 and 9 inch are equally at home on the ocean with the GT54 or GT56 transducer and they come with charts as well. If you are looking for a full feature unit with excellent CHIRP sonar capabilities and charts, these are the way to go.
Yes, even the Garmin LiveScope is on sale including the very popular ECHOMAP Ultra 2 10” LiveScope Plus Bundle and the ECHOMAP Ultra 2 12” LiveScope Plus Bundle. If you are in the market for forward facing sonar this is your chance to save on the industry leading Garmin LiveScope Plus technology. Already have a Garmin unit and just need the GLS10 & LVS34, no problem, that package is on sale too.
If salt is your game, the Garmin GPSMAP units are also on sale. These are 9 inch and 12 inch units that will run 600W and 1kW transducers, and radar domes or autopilots depending on the model.
To see the complete list of items that are on sale click here. If we don’t have it in stock we can quickly bring in items for you at the sale pricing and we will take care of the shipping for you.
If you have any questions on what unit is best for your needs, or forward facing sonar questions, please email us at info@pacificangler.ca

FRESHWATER FISHING REPORTS
Chilliwack/Vedder River Fishing Report
It’s mid-November, and the 2026 Salmon season is coming to a close on the C/V season. While there will still be a few Coho and Chum entering the system into December, the runs are pretty much over. It was a great season, with very strong runs of pinks, coho and chinook having provided excellent angling despite the low, clear conditions that prevailed for most of the season.
If you’re planning on heading out there for the weekend, be aware that the river has been running fairly high and often dirty due to the crappy weather we’ve been experiencing for the past few weeks. Be sure to check the weather forecast and river levels before heading out to make sure the river will be fishable when you get there.
While there will be some opportunities to target trout, char and whitefish with almost no other anglers around in the coming weeks, most anglers will be giving the system a break until the winter steelhead start showing up in December. As such, I’ll be taking a break from writing the C/V reports until then. Stay tuned for steelheading info when the time comes!

Squamish River Fishing Report
The river is rapidly dropping back in shape after another storm rolled through. The back-to-back weekly rain storms have kept fish moving and anglers with an eye on the water levels have been rewarded.
It’s hard to predict the river this time of year with more rain in the forecast. If daytime temperatures stay cool I expect things to drop fast and start to clear up in a hurry. There is some rain forecasted later in the weekend carrying over to early next week. I don’t think this well affect them river too much… it may even improve fishing. Keep checking the weather and water levels before you plan your trip so you can plan accordingly.
Coho fishing is still decent with a mix of fresh and coloured fish encountered throughout the main river and tributaries. Spoons, spinners and jigs will all find fish. Make sure to have some larger heavy options along with some smaller more delicate presentations for when the water clears. Fly anglers have had success in the right water. Look for slower pools, pockets, current seams and confluences to hold up coho long enough to get a fly to them. Medium and small flies are working for us. Mostly olive, green, black, and chartreuse.
We wrapped up our Fly Fishing For Salmon Course last weekend with some excellent days on the water.

Maryann with one of many of her fly caught Coho from the weekend, and Mannon with her first on the fly. A spectacular dime bright fish for this deep in the season.
As we get later into salmon season I start to bring my trout gear along for the trips. Egging will be the most productive technique for trout. Light float rods or 5-6 weight fly rods rigged for nymphing will produce fish. The trick here is to find feeding locations behind salmon. You should be able to pick up a few fish as you travel from run to run and may be lucky to find a larger pod of fish to spend some time on. Have a mix of bright and dull coloured beads to match the hatch on the salmon eggs you encounter.
Dress for the weather and go prepared for changing conditions through the day. Cover water stay warm and have fun!

Fraser North Side Tributaries Fishing Reports
With the salmon season wrapping up on the C/V system, many anglers are shifting their focus to other systems- to be more specific, they will be crossing the Fraser and fishing the Fraser’s north-side tributaries, such as the Stave, Harrison and Chehalis. For whatever reason, the tributaries that flow into the north side of the Fraser tend to get their coho runs a bit later than the C/V, so whereas the C/V is basically done, many of the north side tributaries are still fishing fairly well and will continue producing clean coho well into December... water levels depending, of course.
For those of you who aren’t done with the 2026 salmon season just yet, it’s definitely worth checking out the north side tribs. I’ve been nosing around a few of the aforementioned systems (as I typically do in November/December) and have been finding plenty of clean coho, so there’s still some time to get out there if you haven’t quite gotten your fill of float drops, spoon smashes or jig grabs.
Do note that while there will be clean fish around, there will also be quite a few dark fish around, so be sure to handle any senior citizens you happen to hook with care and avoid specifically targeting dark fish.

Still a few clean coho around!
