Our Jam Session is just under 2 weeks away! Don’t miss out on a great night of tying and talking all thing stillwater fishing.
If you haven’t joined us for jam sessions in years past, it is a relaxed and fun night for tyers of all levels of experience from beginner to expert to hang out, do some tying, share their favourite flies and techniques, and of course talk about fishing!
Our group of tyers will be on hand to demonstrate techniques and answer questions on tying a variety of patterns including chironomids, wing bud chironomids, leeches, damsels, mayflies and of course blobs and boobies.
Get your FREE tickets here and read on below for more details on our tyers for the evening!
Learn From The Pros
We have an awesome lineup of expert tyers on hand to answer questions and teach some tricks of the trade.
Andre Stepanian: Many of you know Andre from his years working the retail floor and teaching tying classes at Pacific Angler. Watch the master in action as he demonstrates his favourite damsel fly patterns throughout the evening. Get a taste of his tying on Instagram – follow him @frenzyflies
Jason Tonelli: Jason will be tying some of his favourite chironomids from this last season that incorporate cutting edge materials and techniques that add wing buds to the fly. The end result is a fly that closely matches the natural and the fish seem to agree! Head over to @jasonrtonelli to get a look at those catches from last season!
John Wilkinson and Stanton Jack @vanflyfishing: Two members of Canada’s National Fly Fishing Team will be joining us for the evening where they will be tying some of their top producing patterns and discussing competition fishing in Canada and abroad. John will be tying a couple of his top UK style competition patterns, and Stanton will be tying one of his foam dragonfly nymph patterns!

Brian Host: Brian aka @chronnie_patch will be joining us for the evening and he too will be tying up a number of proven chironomid patterns. His experience on the lake combined with his expertise at the vice and use of different materials and textures in his ties results in bugs the trout cannot resist.
Jacob Leboe: Jacob will be taking a break from helping you out on the sales floor and will be spending the evening tying some of his favourite lake flies from damsels boobies and blobs he’ll be tying them!
Eric Peake: You’ll know Eric as the instructor of many of our fly tying courses, from Intro Fly Tying to Steelhead Intruder. When he is not busy here in the shop, on the water he’s designing amazing fishing logos (check him out on Instagram @riverwlkr if you haven’t already). At this jam session will be tying some of his favourite damselfly and searching nymphs for working those reeds and drop offs.
The rest of the team will be on hand to help you out and answer any questions you may have!
