Mike is our behind-the-scenes admin pro who keeps everything running smoothly at the shop. Mike’s been part of the Pacific Angler family since 2019, though he’s no stranger to the store—he’s been a regular customer for years. With a keen eye for detail and a knack for organization, Mike handles everything admin-related, ensuring that the shop is always running like a well-oiled fishing reel.
Mike started fishing over 65 years ago in Campbell River, trolling for Coho in the days when the salmon runs were so thick you could almost walk on them. From saltwater fishing to river and lake adventures, Mike’s done it all—fly fishing, gear fishing, you name it. He’s got a soft spot for stillwater fishing at places like Corbett Lake, where he loves to chase Rainbows with chironomids and dry flies.
Fishing isn’t just a hobby for Mike - it’s a lifelong passion that’s taken him from BC rivers to the U.S. Midwest. Along the way, he’s learned from some of the best, including Kathy Ruddick, Pearce Clegg, and Scott Baker McGarva.
