Our Guide's Choice Fine Crush Brining Salt is specifically designed to dissolve quickly and make a strong brine to firm up your bait. A firm bait will have less scale loss, is more durable, and will fish better in a teaser head or if cut plugged.
One bag will brine approximately 4-5 trays of bait depending on size of bait and if you are doing a dry brine or a wet brine. To do a wet brine, dissolve approximately 1-1.5 cups of brining salt in water and add bait as needed. To do a dry brine, sprinkle the brining salt on top of your baits until they are mostly covered. For either method allow at least a few hours for the brine to firm up the baits prior to fishing. Always keep your baits brined and in a cool area for maximum firmness.
