OUTLOOK  We were happy to see temperatures hovering within seasonal averages and the water temperatures on many of our local rivers are holding at reasonably safe levels this past week.  The weather this week looks like more of the same.  This weekend we will have a mix of cloud, a little rain, and some sun. Temperatures increase early next week but at least for now there are no more major heatwaves forecasted in the next 14 days.   We have seen some wind issues for those…

OUTLOOK  We hope everyone had a great sunny long weekend.  This weekend is looking a bit different with some rain in the forecast and though it might not be as nice for an outing in the sun, we need the water.  With the exception of the Squamish, all our local rivers are low.    In this week’s report we have  low water reports for the Skagit and Chilliwack and we have…

OUTLOOK  We are almost in August and we are going to see some more warm weather this long weekend. The weather may affect a few of our fisheries but, overall, there are lots of fishing options right now.  This week, we have reports on the Capilano where the river is low but beach fishing has been solid.  We also have info on the Chilliwack and the Skagit where reports…

OUTLOOK  Another weekend of clear weather is incoming.  Temperatures in Vancouver will dip a little on Saturday but on the 14-day forecast we expect average or slightly above seasonal temperatures.  Overall, this will be good for fishing, but we would like to see some overcast days and a little rain to bring up the low river levels and to help with the fire situation.   The pinks have arrived in some places in limited numbers, and we expect things…
